Ingredients
4 vanilla beans
750ml of Pau Vodka--any alcohol spirit as long as it is 80 proof will work. Vodka is the carrier of choice as it is usually flavorless, but you can try bourbon, tequila, spiced rum. I have tried them all and my favorite is the vodka and spiced rum. Different flavors for different things!
Preparation
Find a bottle with a tight fitting. Sterilize bottle and lid.
Place beans in the clean bottle.
Cover with alcohol spirit of choice.
Store in an cabinet away from heat and sunlight.
Lightly shake every few weeks.
Recommended 3-4 months of brewing. Remember the longer the beans marinate the richer the flavor.
